The paper considers preparation procedure and accomplishment of the «Bagration» operation. Role of interaction of three Belarussian and the 1-st Baltic Fronts with members of underground organizations and guerilla formations in the defeat of hostile forces is given in the paper. The paper also shows military and political significance of the Republic liberation in 1944.
ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
The purpose of the paper is to present an automatic Measuring Information System (MIS) which has been developed at the BNTU in collaboration with the BSU and demonstrate its application in experimental investigations of kinematics and dynamics of discontinuous and smoothly changing flows, particularly, for more complete account of dynamic wave action on objects located in the hydraulic construction downstream.
The paper presents calculations pertaining to survivability of NPS load-carrying elements with respect to crack-resistance. These calculations reflect their resistance ability to actions of mechanical, thermal, hydro-dynamic, electro-magnetic loads in the case when there are defects in the elements (initially technological defects or operational ones). The most dangerous defects are micro- and macro-cracks that create maximum high concentration of stresses and deformations.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Influence of technological modes of magnetic-electric grinding on structural changes in a surface layer of gas-thermal sprayed coatings is investigated in the paper. The paper presents optimum modes of coating roughing and finishing processes.
If a defect unexpectedly arises in the direction of supply while working a «free» curve being distinguished by a arbitrary curvature and small value twisting from the given ones then there will be worsening of cutting process that will lead to surface defects of the machined surface or tool break down. A method of wave analysis has been used for an experimental study of power in specific frequency bands and a minimum cutter damage has been obtained which with power on a drive motor makes it possible to control supply, restoring the condition of cutting. A technical novelty of automatic control method has been proposed according to instantaneous defect by means wave change on a drive motor. The problem of quantitative assessment of machined surface defects has been successfully solved in the paper.
The paper investigates micro-structure, distribution of chemical elements in diffusion carbonitride coatings on P6M5 steel that have been obtained in powder cyanoless media at temperature 450–550 °C, distribution of micro-hardness and also results of the experiments on wear resistance executed at loads of 50 and 400 MPa.
Influence of machining temperature on dimension and shape of hardening phases is shown in the paper. The paper also considers influence of these characteristics on mechanical properties of carbonitrated P6M5 steel.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
The paper considers a calculated scheme of three-dimensional fluctuations of a multi-prop machine. Equations of the mobile machine movement are given in the paper. Then paper contains static and power analyses of the mobile machine fluctuations and also parametrical optimization.
The paper provides results of modeling distribution of signal probability of radio-electronic aids located over the Earth surface at a specific height and determining an electromagnetic environment on its surface according to a power parameter and an input direction angle at an optionally selected observation point being on the earth surface.
As an example of welding control the paper considers operational principles and contains a comparison of classical and neuro-supply line methods for welding process control. Main advantages of neuron-supply line control, namely: high failure resistance, operational parallelism of data processing and approximation of any smooth functions are shown in the paper. Its disadvantage is that it requires high calculative power (DSP processor or PLIS) and it is necessary to carry our setting procedure of neuro-supply line.
TRANSPORT
The paper examines variants of higher control efficiency in respect of road traffic by creating coordinated regulation with the help of a determined module. Model application conditions have been determined for specific traffic situations with due account of transport-pedestrian load. The paper contains proposals for the model optimization directed on reduction of motor vehicle delay in front of the in-traffic light stop-line along the main highway direction.
The paper analyzes factors that determine dynamic loads of mechanical transmission of trolleybus traction driving gear. The paper proposes a methodology for determination of calculative moments of loading transmission elements. Results of the research are analyzed and recommendations on dynamic reduction of trolleybus transmission are given in the paper.
Study of directions concerning development of military equipment, its modernization with the purpose to improve its military efficiency is an actual problem for the Armed Forces, military science, designers and researchers.
The paper analyzes and estimates possibilities to use civil equipment for military purpose. Problems pertaining to technologies of double application, diversification of civil equipment in military engineering machinery are considered in the paper.
The paper deals with an efficiency estimation of automated mechanical transmission at off-line simulation stage. A simulation model of a vehicle with an automated power unit for gear change control strategy research has been developed in the paper. The paper contains a complex mathematical description of the analysis scheme. It allows adequately to react to structure reorganization and parameter change of the dynamic system at an application of external disturbances from the road and a driver. A peculiar feature of the developed software that is an opportunity of real-time modeling. This decision enables to estimate automated mechanical transmission operation at a wide spectrum of the driver’s actions. The experiment on a driving simulation of a heavy truck with 40000 kg GCW on a road climb has been carried out. The estimated values of driving on a route have been compared during gear changes in automatic and command modes by drivers of various qualification. The paper contains conclusions about efficiency of the analyzed gear change control strategy. A strategy for improvement of automated mechanical transmission controlling algorithms has been proposed in the paper.
POWER ENGINEERING
The paper considers principles of execution and methods for investigation of adaptive micro-processor protection of distributive systems with one- and two-side supply. Adaptive current protection for the systems with one-side supply controls a moment of non-symmetric damage initiation and automatically operate current of measuring elements. Systems with two-side supply presuppose combined usage of methods for determination of damage places and conventional method for execution of protection.
The paper presents a problem statement, a developed mathematical model and proposed algorithm for solving optimization of capital investments in modernization (introduction of automatic control
systems of thermal processes) of large systems of centralized heat supply which are based on application of network model.
The formulated problem refers to the problems of combinatory (discrete) optimization. Methods of «branches and boundaries» or dynamic programming are applied nowadays for solving problems of this type. These methods are not considered as universal ones because they greatly depend on description of solution feasible area. As a result of it it is not possible to develop a universal software for solving any assignments which can be formulated as problems of combinatory optimization.
The presented network model of the investigated problem does not have above-mentioned disadvantages and an algorithm is proposed for solving this problem which admits a simple programming realization.
NATURAL AND ACCURATE SCIENCES
The paper investigates anti-symmetric stress-strain state of infinitely long solid cylinder subjected to irregular heating, external pressure under conditions of thermal creeping. Developed schemes of numerical solution of the given problem in movement with further construction of stress-strain tensors at any point along cylinder perimeter are presented in the paper. The paper proposes a numerical model for describing a stress-strain state of nuclear reactor fuel pins.
The paper is to study application of a general scheme pertaining to integral transform construction with the purpose to obtain the well-known Mellin transform.
A determining factor of its construction is a linear differential operator
T = t d/dt in the {f(0)}. «originals» set. The paper shows that in the case of a linear algebraic operator the simplest and agreed-upon transform is obtained with the help of multiplication of the corresponding F(u) «image» by a trivial k(u) = –и function.
HUMANITIES AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCIENCES
The paper considers usage of visual methods in the field of anthropology, social philosophy and semiotics for investigating problems of identity, social habits and media cultural forms on the basis of photographic practices.
The paper studies problems pertaining to development of intellectual scientific search systems from the point of view of epistemology as a science on knowledge, its functioning and development. The most important epistemological postulates are determined in the paper and these postulates serve as a basis for an analysis of intellectual technologies of creative search and knowledge formation. Using a systematic approach to study of intellectual technologies of the innovation search the paper considers division of knowledge system in its components – properties of an object to be investigated (separate knowledge clusters). The mentioned approach and adopted biophysical analogies in the investigation of the intellectual technology on knowledge formation have made it possible to identify one of the key epistemology problems in respect of intellectual systems that is an initial uncertainty of scientific search purpose. In this connection a structure of value-orientated knowledge search in the intellectual medium is determined in the paper. The paper also analyzes process pertaining to transformation of value orientation of scientific search into its purposeful development. A role of intellectual systems of scientific search concerning knowledge synthesis of various cognate practices is considered in the paper. The paper proposes a variant pertaining to creation of generalized information image of the studied phenomenon in the intellectual medium on the basis of frame models of knowledge systems from various cognate practices.
