Abstract

Abstract

The paper shows the significance of teaching personnel at higher educational institutions in training contemporary specialists. The experience of the Belorussian National Technical University is described to reveal forms and methods which are used for teaching, selection, placing, training of pedagogical personnel and improvement of its professional qualification. A special attention is given to such aspect as personnel reserve. The paper contains concrete examples that prove the efficiency of purposeful and all-round activity concerning selection and training of teaching personnel.

Abstract

The paper describes methodology for calculation of the force action of hydraulic stream on the colmatated screen of a water intake well when a gas-impulsive recovery method of well discharge rate is used.

On the basis of the momentum change equation taking into account a number of assumptions an analytical dependence is obtained to determine the force acting on the filter/screen wall at the moment of maximum water stream velocity. This methodology may be applied while using different gaseous energy carriers in water wells and establishes a connection between the force acting on the screen wall and main geometric and energy parameters of the blasting chamber taking into account the destruction of colmatage matter and provision of filter strength.

Abstract

In order to develop method concerning safety factors on automobile roads the paper proposes to account climatic factors that exert additional influence on the character of vehicle’s movement. Jt is recommended to take into account not only difference in speed but the state of a roadway as well. Such method makes it possible to be more objective in evaluation of danger rate of roadway sections that is rather important for proper selection of plan and longitudinal profile of automobile roads.

Abstract

The paper reveals an effect of heat-cyclic treatment (HCT) on the structure and properties of NiCuBSi system coatings. This system is recommended to be used as powder for manufacturing mould dies with the help of plasma spraying. Calculation of optimum HCT regimes ensuring the best combination of physical and mechanical properties of coatings is given in the paper.

Abstract

The paper proposes a methodology which is recommended for plotting and analysis of involute external gearing (blocking circuit). This methodology is based on the principles of combined parameter method. As the paper states plotting and analysis of existence region in the coordinates of combined parameters αα1,2  (profile angles at tooth points) is more convenient analogue in respect of the coordinates ϑ1,2 . This paper is recommended for optimization of gearing design with improved parameters.

The paper considers the method of synthesis of a system with a dual model which is to be adjusted. The method is based on division of motions. It is supposed that the adaptation process is passing quicker than the process of the main system circuit. Parameters of the object may be considered as permanent ones during the transient process. The result of system modeling is given in the paper.

Abstract

The paper proposes a model of method to control a pH index of acid and alkali solution mixtures. This model is based on the measurement of the material amount in mixed solutions. It permits to calculate the required metrological characteristics of measuring channels.

The calculation of admissible concentration and mass values of solutions to be mixed is given in the paper. The limits of admissible measurement error values are also calculated.

It is shown that the proposed method that is to control a pH index is applicable for automation of technological neutralization processes of acids and alkalis contaminated by fine-disperse inclusions under conditions of industrial plants.

The paper substantiates the necessity to carry out an analysis of information resource content on the basis of the given criteria while designing any information system irrespective of its applied duty. Abstract

The paper considers the problems concerning the control of fuel combustion process in diesel engines. The basic concepts, definitions and evaluations of efficiency of fuel combustion control are given in the paper. Control methods of combustion process have been analyzed. The paper contains the basic points of mathematical model of combustion process. Private criteria of controllability of combustion process and complex criterion that takes into account evaluated property are proposed in the paper. Control methods have been combined in classification groups with the purpose to reduce a search range of an effective control method. The state and prospects concerning development of control systems of combustion process in diesel engines have been analyzed.
