Concrete durability of roadway and pedestrian pavements and similar elements of transport communications and modern conveniences are mainly estimated by such indices as frost resistance and strength. In this case it is not taken into account that during its usage concrete pavements are subjected to considerable mechanical loads that exert a significant effect on time variation of structural concrete characteristics. At the same time сrack formation, which is accompanying exposure to mechanical loads on concrete, can significantly decrease its strength properties, frost- and salt resistance. The paper contains results of experimental investigations reflecting tendencies in deterioration of physical- and mechanical characteristics of heavy-weight concrete under complex exposure to aggressive working environment and mechanical loads.
On the basis of the Boltzmann L. – Volterra V. hereditary creep theory a mathematical model, an algorithm and software for numerical investigation of viscous-elastic deformation of the non-uniform soil base have been developed. The algorithm for investigations of mathematical model is synthesized on the basis of a final element method that allows to take into account heterogeneity of a disperse body.

The paper reveals significance of separate elements of planning structure of the agricultural townships to be constructed on the basis of analysis of leading specialists’ views, consideration of design works and author’s research expeditions. Rating evaluation of the investigations is given in the paper.

A mathematical dependency for calculation of casting pre-heating kinetics outside a mould that takes into account an influence of melt overheating heat surplus heat of melt and consisting in calculation of maximal temperature, time and length of casting section to be heated.
The dependency allows to estimate a thermal condition of casting skin at a formation stage under conditions of heat exchange of small intensity with an environment and also determine probability of occurrence of melt breaks and location of secondary cooling devices.
The paper describes flow chart of strip rolling with variable thickness in the rolls with changeable clearance between them and non-driven rollers that ensure spread widening control. The paper presents necessary formulae for calculation of backward tension in the rolls which is considered as drawing tension in the rollers. Accomplishment of the given process is theoretically substantiated in the paper.
An optimization of powder mixtures has been performed with respect to wear resistance of diffusive carbide coatings on hard alloy Т15К6 (79% WC, 15% TiC and 6% Co) for four three-component systems, viz. Cr–Ti–V, Cr–V–Mo, Cr–Ti–Mo and Cr–V–Nb,). The «composition-properties» diagrams have been plotted using the obtained mathematical models. Optimum three-component diffusive saturation of a hard alloy using carbide-forming elements permits to increase its service life by the factor of 2.2–3.1 as compared with one-component saturation. This significant improvement of wear resistance of three-component diffusive carbide coatings is due to formation of heterogeneous microstructure containing complex alloyed carbides of IV-VI-group metals with 2–30% mutually soluble one- or two- saturating elements.
Peculiarities of the plate wave propagation through two-layered thin plate have been analyzed and formulas for velocity determination of the quickest plate mode have been proposed. The ascertained interaction makes it possible to determine coating layer thickness in accordance with the given and known elastic parameters of contacting materials. On the basis of the developed methodology experiments have been carried out that revealed qualitative and quantitative correspondence between theoretical and experimental data. The paper shows a principle possibility for assessment of material separation surface by time propagation data of the investigated mode .

An induction seismic receiver is widely applied in many guarding devices (1К18 «Realiya», PS-75 «Gerb» and others) which are used for detection of moving surface objects. The receiver makes it possible to register soil vibrations caused by the object action. An inertial element of such seismic receiver is a cylindrical coil connected with the body by means of two flat springs.
The paper proposes a method for calculation of electromotive force (EMF) at induction seismic receiver output when it is exposed to seismic Relay wave on the basis of a differential equation for motion of the inertial element with due account of transient processes of forced vibrations and damping. The seismic receiver damping is a coil form where k of the spool, in which surface Foucault currents are induced.
Results of modeling and experimental investigations have shown that the proposed methodology for EMF calculation, which is induced in the seismic receiver, allows faithfully to model signals at induction seismic receiver output that can be rather useful for mathematical modeling of surface object motion seismograms.

Elastic and kinematic characteristics of two standard sizes of the “Belarus” caterpillar torsion suspension have been determined in the paper. The paper gives full speed values of a support roller, an angular displacement of the balance weight, a maximum load on a support roller, potential energy in case of roller full speed, a reduced modulus of elasticity, torsion angles and stresses of torsion shafts and journals, limits for suspension rate changes. The investigations have used analytical and experimental methods, a final elements method. The obtained results are employed for calculation of motion smoothness, load distribution in rollers, dynamic loading of running gear elements while selecting of caterpillar parameters at a design stage.
NATURAL AND ACCURATE SCIENCES
In connection with the well-known difficulty arising as a result of numerical modeling of technological processes (in particular while producing and transporting highly-viscous oil in Belarus) and caused by pressure presence in the Navier-Stokes equation the paper considers one of the popular ideas directed on its elimination that is pressure-correction. An algorithm for realization of this idea is given and its convergence is formally proved in the paper. Efficiency and practicality of the algorithm are demonstrated on the results of numerical experiments. The obtained solutions are analyzed in comparison with other methods directed on the elimination of the mentioned difficulty: other versions of pressure correction and also methods of artificial compressibility and solution of the Poisson equation for pressure.

The paper considers main directions of the technological development of the Belarusian power-supply system. Comparative analysis of the economic efficiency of thermal power station modernization on the basis of steam- and gas technology, nuclear technology development and simple renovation of the worn-out generating capacities of thermal power stations has been carried out in the paper. Selection of the priority direction pertaining to optimization of industrial structure of the Belarusian power-supply system has been made on the basis of the presented minimum-specific cost criterion. The paper reveals that in the medium-term period the most optimum development of the Belarusian electrical power engineering is a technological modernization due to predicted changes in natural gas and nuclear fuel costs. The modernization presupposes construction of topping plants in addition to the existing steam- and turbine equipment at thermal power stations.
