The paper considers organization and management structures in the field of science and peculiar features of re-engineering as one of the state-of-the-art scientific and methodological practice taking into account the experience of scientific and research work at the Belarussian National Technical University (BNTU).
ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
Some aspects of resource saving problem in the process of mass construction and operation of heated construction installations are considered in the paper. A special attention is paid to necessary application of porous concrete products in the process of the housing construction. The preference is given to the products made of autoclave cellular concrete and cement hydrophobisized cement perlite concrete.
The paper contains the results of experimental investigations of physical and mechanical properties of technogenic slime soil. The experimental data have made it possible to obtain mathematical dependences of moisture, adhesion, internal friction angle, filtration coefficient on time usage of slime soil as construction material for slime storage dikes.
Hydraulic investigations of capacity and integration of freshet spillway pools at the hydraulic unit of the Minsk Thermal Power Station No.2 have been carried out in one of its span where a small hydroelectric power station will be erected. The maximal mark of the surcharged reservoir headwater level has been determined while passing a catastrophic freshet.
General relationship for calculation of water filtration through homogeneous granulated charge has been obtained. The obtained relationship has been compared with experimental data. Discrepancies between calculated and experimental values do not exceed 6 % throughout the entire investigated range.
Physical and mechanical properties of asphalt concrete with application of the activated mineral materials (crushed stone and crushing sifting) have been studied. The obtained data have made it possible to conclude that chemical activation may significantly improve the quality of asphalt concrete pavements
The proposed methodology permits to measure a coefficient of concrete strength in fire and calculate correction factor for the values given in the Handbook П1-02 for СНБ 2.02.01-98 of fire-resistance strength of bending construction modified concrete structures. The present methodology is intended for substantiation of experts’ evaluation in the field of fire safety by the State Fire Control Units.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The paper considers regularities of machined surface formation and its wear resistance in the process of needle milling of baked ПА-ЖГр2 material. Roughness of the machined surface is reduced as feed and tightness are increased. The surface being machined does not practically have pores and traces of single needle trajectories and rolls of deformed metal along their lateral sides are observed. Instant and average friction coefficients for various machining conditions differ approximately by 10 %, difference in relative solid surface wear is greater by 3 and more fold in accordance with machining conditions. The minimal intensity of surface wear process after needle milling is observed while machining it with minimal milling speed and feed and maximal tightness.
Results of the experimental research of variable feed parameter influence on accuracy in actuator positioning of numerically-controlled machine tools are presented in the paper. The paper gives an entropy error estimate and positioning stability.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
Up-to-date hardware and software equipment permits to measure brightness, color, geometrical and other characteristics of the objects in accordance with their digital images. In this case the basic criteria of the digital image quality are the following: distance area of possible object identification and linear dependence of a measured target signal on CCD-MATRIX camera luminosity. The proposed technique for brightness measurement of local image portions can be used while carrying out photometric tests of vehicle lighting equipment (headlights, lanterns). A physical model of an object to be measured is developed, color modes are considered and an algorithm of data processing in Matlab system is given in the paper.
TRANSPORT
The paper analyses results of research works pertaining to reliability of MAZ buses in actual operational conditions. The character of failure distribution in bus units and systems is determined. The quantity of bus system and unit failures is given in the paper. Limiting parts of MAZ bus units and systems are determined.
The paper contains scientific substantiation of measures that are necessary in order to improve road safety at traffic controlling crossroads irrespective of their geometric parameters, operational modes of traffic lights, corrections in traffic and others. Possibility of estimation of the existing traffic organization variants from the point of view of the given measures is stipulated in the paper.
The paper contains a calculation scheme, a mathematical model and calculation technique of dynamic electro-pneumatic drive of a manipulator hand with due account of microprocessor control. The results of calculation of dynamic electro-pneumatic drive characteristics are given in the paper. The given technique can be used while developing perspective electro-pneumatic systems of technological and mobile machines.
NATURAL AND ACCURATE SCIENCES
The proposed approach resides in selection of two random positive numbers and investigation of dynamics in changes of these numbers and their sum while changing n € N.
An orientation of mathematical teaching process of civil-engineering students to higher quality of their training has required not only to reconsider the traditional mathematical taught facilities but also add new components that are considered in this paper.
HUMANITIES AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCIENCES
The paper reveals the essence of an inflation as a macro-economical process embracing the whole country’s economy. Reasons of its origin, methods of its measurement and social-economical consequences for various groups of population and society as a whole are analyzed in the paper.
Peculiarities of orthodox parish performance are shown in the paper. The paper analyzes parish reformation in the light of general ecclesiastical reorganizations at the beginning of the XX century. At the same time aspirations of ecclesiastical ideologists to revive a parish as a spiritual community are traced in the paper.
SHORT MESSAGES
The paper contains an analytical investigation of mounting dimensions of the existing hydraulic equipment designs from the point of view of creating building blocks that involve elementary diagrams. A form of abutting plane of hydraulic equipment has been ascertained. This form makes it possible to solve a problem concerning creation of unified element set of hydraulic control blocks
