Abstract

The capability of deriving laser alloying layers with a smoothly varying gradient of properties was investigated. It was reached by conducting of repeated alloying with a series of lower depth of a melting zone. Obtained nature of allocation structural component and gradient of properties through the thickness, as well as general morphology of the hardened layer have proved a high level of its operation properties in conditions of high contact loading.

Abstract
The paper presents a calculation method for thermo-elasto-plastic stressed-deformed state in two-layer cylindrical bodies due to abrupt temperature changes on outer load-free boundary. The boundaries of plastic zones at various relations correlations between stress-strain properties of the internal and external cylinders and distribution of residual stresses after temperature unloading have determined in the paper.

Abstract

The paper investigates an influence of laser processing modes pertaining to gas-thermal coatings of iron- based powders after melting with modifying coatings on their micro-hardness, microstructure and porosity. Conditions for obtaining of coatings with the most uniform distribution of alloying substances have been revealed in the paper. The paper considers characteristics of porosity changes in Fe-Cr-B-Si coatings due to speed of movement, diameter and temperature of a laser beam spot.

Abstract
The paper contains mathematical description of regularities pertaining to movement of a workpiece having a cubic form in the operational zone of a device for pneumatic centrifugal machining of ball-shaped parts made of brittle materials. An analytical expression that describes a law of variations in cube volume while it is turning into a ball has been obtained in the paper. The paper proposes a methodology for intensity calculation pertaining to stock removal from the cubic workpiece while forming a ball at various stages of ball burnishing

Abstract
The paper presents design schemes and dependences for determination of strength and durability coefficients within a wide range of high-cycle fatigue for the components operating in the out-of-doors and and corrosive environment. Variations of these coefficients due to the action of various factors have been studied in the probability aspect. A design algorithm has been compiled in the paper.

Abstract

A new methodology for an on-board diagnosis of wear-out rate for friction discs of gear box hydrocompressing clutches has been developed in the paper. The methodology is based on physical process that uses friction work as an integral indicator.

Abstract

The paper investigates simulation of control processes for electromechanical transmission of a wheel tractor. A model of transmission mechanical part in the form of three-mass system with due account of wheel slippage has been presented in the paper. A vector control is considered as a frequency control system. The simulation using MatLab-Simulink environment has been executed for an operational mode of a tractor.

Abstract

Due to balance of external and internal force capacities a variation quasistatic problem has been solved in the paper. The problem allows to determine optimum values of α and β angles in the accepted field of sliding lines when destruction pressure takes on a minimum value pmin. It has been ascertained that the minimum pressure pmin which is necessary for destruction of a corrosion layer is registered at stream compression coefficient λ = 0,063 and the pressure is equal to 8-17 MPa for the investigated speed range v = 80-140 m/s.

Abstract

The paper presents results of the analysis pertaining to lap-soldered joint bearing capacity of parts having various length and thickness. It has been shown that difference in dimensions of connected parts makes a pronounced effect on stress deformed state of lap-soldered joints. It has been determined that there is an increase in working stresses along the edges of a lap in parts with larger length and smaller thickness that is caused by action of a bending moment.

Abstract

The paper investigates operational conditions of angular contact ball bearing МПЗ 6305 in automatic loaders and presents characteristics of its run-out due to usage conditions. An influence of vacuum plasma coating ZrN on bearing life characteristics has been researched in the paper. It has been established that an application of the mentioned coating significantly reduces the probability of bearing rolling elements corrosion, practically excludes their abrasive wear and tear. Test investigations have made it possible to determine dependence of operational characteristics of strengthened bearings on coating thickness.

Abstract
Hydrogen is one of the most widespread chemical elements in the nature. Molecular hydrogen reacts with a few chemical elements but when hydrogen becomes a radical it interacts with a lot of elements. Metal saturation with hydrogen leads to hydrogen absorption and destruction. The paper presents chronology and essence of processes pertaining to mechanism of hydrogen absorption , hydrogen wear and metal destruction that have been obtained on the basis of the scientific investigation and experimental data analysis.

Abstract

The paper presents a historical analysis of tendencies pertaining to automotive evolution. It has been shown how motivation to higher speed and capacity had made it possible to manufacture automobiles with several hundred horsepower capacity. Traffic speed in the cities is rather less than technical capabilities of automobiles; there are serious ecological and traffic safety problems. Solution of serious traffic safety problems is possible only while developing clever automobiles for clever traffic roads within the framework of intelligent transportation systems.

Abstract

Fundamental principles for hybrid theory on turning of an all-wheel drive system are given in the paper. The paper shows expediency of accounting longitudinal additional tangential reactions (parasitic forces) in contacts of central and lateral wheels with foundation. Algorithms for calculating additional tangential reactions have been proposed in the paper. The paper presents calculation kinematics model for turning of steered and rigid bogie with inter-wheel differential at various axial drive.
