ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
The paper describes problems pertaining to corrosion theory and forecast of reinforced concrete structure service life. The author considers that application of modern investigation methods on the basis of failure mechanics and analysis concrete porosity will make it possible to develop a general theory of concrete corrosion and calculation of reinforced concrete structure service life. Provision of the required longevity of reinforced concrete structures is not less important than the provision of their strength.
The paper contains justification and results of thermographic analysis of the process pertaining to origin and failure development in the elements of reinforcement products.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The paper presents a comparative analysis pertaining to cutting mono-crystal silicon by a diamond wheel with internal cutting-edge (DWIC) and a multi-stranded tool. It has been shown that in accordance to the output percentage of good plates usage of multi-stranded cutting method is on a par with DWIC; and in accordance to an actual consumption of silicon per one plate the first method exceeds the wheel cutting method. The process of multi-stranded cutting method is characterized by high accuracy, reproducibility, productivity and ensures significant saving of high-priced mono-crystal silicon.
The paper describes development of new composite self-fluxing powders made of waste products while producing cast steel and iron shot. Structure and properties of initial and borated powders, dependence of boride layer thickness growth on chemical and thermal treatment time have been investigated in the paper. The paper proposes for the first time a description of structure-formation mechanism in the diffusion alloying process on the basis of the obtained data.
The given paper presents a development of a technological process pertaining to hardening large-size parts made of die steel. The proposed process applies a water-air mixture instead of a conventional hardening medium that is industrial oil.
While developing this new technological process it has been necessary to solve the following problems: reduction of thermal treatment duration, reduction of power resource expense (natural gas and mineral oil), elimination of fire danger and increase of process ecological efficiency.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
The paper contains an experimental estimation of influence rate of various oil being included in diamond suspension on adhesion of the obtained diamond-containing coating to cutting disk surface which is applied for working a mono-crystal diamond.
An algorithm for determination of root sensitivity function in the dynamic system to any change of its parameter is considered in the paper. Formulae for calculating a module and an argument of the vector root sensitivity function on the basis of analytical root locus equations and the Cauchy – Riemann conditions have been developed in the paper. The root sensitivity is determined in the given points of the system root locus in accordance with the developed algorithm.
The paper considers a methodology for testing anti-locking system (ALS) of new generation. Results of computer dynamics modeling of automobile motion at braking with ALS and without ALS are given in the paper. The paper also contains an analysis of basic characteristics: a braking distance, a value of longitudinal delay, an influence of modulator speed on the efficiency of a braking
The paper describes the possibility to apply CAE-systems for designing ultrasonic vibratory systems. Modeling of an ultrasonic step concentrator with toroidal transition is considered as a test problem. The test problem is solved by means of a numerical method and CAE-systems of ANSYS and CARD. Calculation results obtained with the help of various methods are in good agreement.
The paper contains justification on application of a pneumatic drive in various training simulators which are used as for general rehabilitation so for professional training as well for various kinds of sports. Simulator flow diagrams based on pneumatic drive are presented in the paper.
A mathematical model has been constructed that makes it possible to determine operational characteristics of the pneumatic drive and select design parameters of simulator elements.
As a result of calculating characteristics of the sports simulator pneumatic drive some drawbacks have been revealed in pneumatic equipment. For this very reason an original design of pneumatic control element with improved characteristics has been developed and its flow diagram is given in the paper.
TRANSPORT
One of the most important values while forming gear wheels is a material section area Sс which is to be removed by a tool in the process of forming a space between two teeth in one pass. Cutting resistance which is proportional to section area of the layer to be cut and, correspondingly, a thermodynamic intensity in the polishing zone depend on Sс value.
The paper proposes relations for calculation of a material section area Sс which is to be removed from a blank while forming a space between two teeth of a satellite gear of a planetary pin tooth reducer.
Measurements being made in the AutoCAD packet have shown that any corrections of the profile do not make a significant influence on a section area Sс.
ЕСOLOGY. RESOURCE SAVING
The paper proposes a scientific and innovative approach to solution of an important problem in the field of rational nature management and ecology which presupposes realization of evaluation, analysis and monitoring of environment quality (EQ) in Belarus. This approach is based on methods and facilities of administrative-command and partially automatic-control management. The main components of the innovative approach are an automatic system for evaluation and monitoring of EQ including estimation and formation of nature-resource potential within 11 cadaster and other data base, general principles on evaluation and monitoring of EQ, structural and algorithmic schemes for evaluation of ecological state of administrative territories, calculation of generalized indices of nature-territorial complexes and solution of nature protection problems in respect of EQ monitoring. A system of equation calculation for the analysis and evaluation of technogenic load on main nature components of the environment (free air, water objects, soil cover), realization of monitoring function in respect of EQ and ecological state of local and urban territories, nature resources and enterprises, pollution and state of some recipients and also data resources for execution of analytical calculations and functions directed on monitoring quality of nature components of the environment is advanced in the paper.

HUMANITIES AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCIENCES
The Republic of Belarus has significant reserves of ground fresh and mineral water. Consumption of bottled water in the world has a tendency of steady growth. In this regard, Belarus can increase production and sale of bottled water on the external and domestic markets as well. The paper describes main tendencies prevailing on the world market; it contains an analysis of the normative and legal foundation on regulation of production and sale of bottled water in the Republic and abroad; the paper also estimates the possibilities to increase volume of export water.
Due to increase of social and economic reforms and development of market relations higher education institutions (HEI) are facing a complex of new problems and missions which did not exist during the Soviet period of time under conditions of a planned economy. HEI administration, their not numerous managerial staff are not capable to take a qualified and efficient decision in unusual situations. HEI management under new social and economic conditions, in general situation of dynamics and uncertainty permits to address to enterprise experience in respect of consulting service usage. Our specified eight main and a great number of private problems can be qualitatively solved exclusively with the help of additional information in the form of consulting services.
The paper considers methodology for formation of product cost while applying «direct-costing» system. It has been shown that the application of the given system permits economically to justify and accurately to determine financial results of an enterprise activity which is planned for the future.
Optimization of currency portfolio structure of export industrial enterprises in the Republic of Belarus, by which we shall understand a currency structure of export contracts of an international enterprise, is considered as one of the most important problems in the financial management of an enterprise. Statement and analysis of industrial enterprise alternative costs and simultaneous investigation of tendencies pertaining to changes in the exchange rates give the possibility (under other equal status) to reduce non-systematic risks in foreign trade. Diversification of industrial enterprise currency portfolios with the purpose to decrease financial risks and with due account of exchange rate correlation can lead to an increase of payments in Russian currency and Eurocurrency under enterprise export contracts. The given changes decrease currency risks in the foreign trade however they entail possible increase of the export share of products to the Russian Federation in total export volume of the Republic of Belarus that increases dependence of the Republic of Belarus on the Russian Federation as the main foreign trade partner.
The purpose of the paper is to determine significance and tendencies of the processes which make an influence on integration of countries and study the necessity to ensure a favourable political and legitimate climate which is to be directed on rapprochement of national legislations. The most important factors promoting success of integration processes are specified in the paper.
The paper shows an actual importance and proves the necessity to study the Belarussian national movement during World War I (1914–1918) in “Belarus History” course. Main methodological principles that allow to achieve the required goals and tasks in the process of problem consideration are revealed in the paper.
