The paper presents results of investigations on qualitative and quantitative characteristics of impurities on the surface of products made from aluminium alloy Д16Т .
It has been shown that the main impurities of the products made from alloy Д16Т are carbo-hydrates of paraffin and methanoic series. In order to obtain high quality coating a technological process pertaining to surface cleaning prior to application vacuum-plasma coatings must include out- and intra-chamber treatments.
CIVIL ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE
The paper describes an assessment of peat hydrophobic additive influence on properties of the modified portland cement. Content of organic and mineral components in the investigated materials has been determined in the paper. An increase of durability of the modified cements is caused by higher dispersion of particles during mixed grinding of clinker and additives. The developed method allows to isolate cement from influence of liquid-drop and vaporous moisture. Isolation is carried out by means of binding solid particles of a modifier being from several dozens to hundreds of nanometers in size with cement particles, and also due to processes which occur at the nanolevel when cement is treated by liquid components of hydrophobic modifying additive. Interaction between dispersive cement phase and molecules of organic additive is carried out into practice by hydrogen bonding formation of surface silanol groups of cement particles with oxygen-containing groups of additive. Dispersion non-specific (van der Waals) interaction contributes to adhesion energy of “cement – additive” system. The paper shows that covalent forces are not formed during additive molecule adsorption on the surface of dispersive cement phase.
The paper shows that in order to ensure designed geometry of a constructed high-rise building and while handing over design elevations for installation horizons it is necessary to take into account its vertical deformations in the form of the following corrections in geodetic vertical distances: temperature, force (caused by structure weight) and shrinking (caused by concrete drying-out). The paper gives an example of actual vertical deformation of a building frame from in-situ reinforced concrete at several elevations including a maximum one – 104.9 m. Data of the paper can be used in practical work.

CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
The secondary enrichment of a flotation concentrate in the bubble column is considered as the easiest way to increase efficiency and quality of a mineral flotation process and reduce energy consumption for its implementation. The secondary enrichment of the mineral froth in a flotation concentrate is done by its washing-out with preliminary foamed mother solution and applying an even layer of the obtained froth on the concentrate surface directly in the chamber of a flotation cell. The developed method of the secondary enrichment is simple in realization and does not require any additional reagents or expensive equipment.
A method has been developed to improve paper qualitative characteristics which is used for manufacturing of packaging. It has been determined that while adding sulfate cellulose obtained from low-grade short flax in paper composition qualitative characteristics of the final product have been improved.
ECOLOGY
The paper presents development of measures for prevention of soil erosion with water as a result of wrong mechanical impact of machine-tractor aggregates (MTA) on the arable fields located with inclination and in conditions of rugged area. Statistic data according to inclination angle of field surface, implementation terms of agricultural operations and seasonal changes of soil humidity have been considered in the Poozere region as an example. The paper substantiates an expediency of MTA movement on horizontal directions of the terrain and the allowable inclination values according to inclination angle of field surface. Innovative technical solutions in universal tractor design providing sustainable MTA movement along terrain horizontals have been proposed in the paper.
The paper presents results of the investigations on the water purification process with the help of photocatalysis using the photocatalyst which is developed on the basis of porous titanium with the layer of nanoparticle layer of titanium dioxide and an experimental plant. The investigations results have shown high efficiency of the developed photocatalytic materials and a water purification plants

MECHANICS
The paper considers a method for problem solution pertaining to compression of elastic bodies bounded by cylindrical surfaces whose radii are almost equal. The objective aim does not allow to apply the Hertz theory and reduces to finding approximate solutions of the Prandtl’s equation. The resulting solution is compared with the solution in the ANSYS system.
The article studies possibility of application of boundary element method (BEM) to modelling of acoustic fields generated during ultrasonic angioplasty. It is shown that modelling by means of BEM can be more efficient that traditionally used modelling by means of finite element method (FEM). Test problem of calculation of acoustic field created by ultrasonic waveguide in semi-infinite fluid medium is considered. The problem is solved by means of BEM and FEM and comparative analysis of results is provided. Modelling by means of BEM additionally involves application of mirror source method for avoidance of treatment of infinite fluid boundary.
