The paper contains the proof how to ensure stability of the dumps in the case of their high storage.
The paper presents main calculative principles of the required pressure which is initiated in the cavity of colmatated rod and frame filter proceeding from the provision of its regeneration. Colmatation is schematized as an annular zone including gravel filter pack grouted by colmatage matter and water intake surface which being bonded to one another jointly operate under load. Expressions have been deduced with the purpose to determine ultimate (limiting) pressure values for 3 stages of filter operation: 1. formation of non-through cracks in the filter pack; 2. formation of through cracks; 3. destruction of water intake surface of the filter.
The paper considers a numerical example of calculation pertaining to determination of operational interval of pressures which are required for treatment of rod and frame filter with pre-set strength of the clogged gravel filter pack. It has been ascertained that the required pressure value is determined to a great extent by tensile strength of the water intake surface.
The slot fill foundation represents two or more slots which are cut in earth massif with their subsequent filling with concrete mixture. Walls of the top portion are united by foundation mat which is located above the earth surface or rests on it. When a load acts on such foundations a part of earth massif located between slots starts to operate. In contrast to foundations laid in open foundation pits the lateral surface of the slot fill foundations is included in work. This surface takes up part of vertical loading due to forces of friction that causes an increase of the conditional foundation width.
While modeling bearing ability of the bases experimental investigations and theory of its limiting stressed state which was resolved by Sokolovsky V.V. and Berezantsev V.G. have been applied. All the equations have been solved with the help of numerical methods using a computer and specially developed program.
Application of such foundations has shown that they are economically efficient, require less material and are characterized by large bearing ability.
The paper contains data concerning investigation of filtering characteristics of sand-sapropel compositions where sapropel content is equal to 5, 10 and 15 %.
The above-mentioned compositions are characterized by comparatively low water-resistance. Water resistance has a tendency to decrease in case of an increase of sapropel concentration. Any deformations caused by filtration within the range of the examined values have not been observed.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The paper investigates the effect of condensation energy of emissioned flux of monatomic carbon, created by magnetronic dispersion, on properties of amorphous carbon coatings. While increasing discharge current from 0,5 up to 2,5 A coating density is increased from 2,3 up to 3,2 g/cm3. Finishing treatment of coatings in glow discharge (U = 1250 V; / = 0,15 A; t = 15 min) ensures hardness increase by 40 %. Electrical resistance of a coating is going up while increasing distance between the sprayed cathode and substrate.
The paper presents results of experimental research pertaining to effect of needle milling modes on productivity.
It has been ascertained that rates of cutting Vt tension i and micro cutting tool sweep L make an effect on machining productivity.
It is revealed that the indicated machining modes are to be considered as the most optimum ones •which permit to obtain maximum productivity.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
The paper presents the results of experimental investigations of lasers generating within spectral range of 1,5... 1,6 дт which is the most safety for eyesight. It has been studied generation characteristics of coherent radiation sources using effects of stimulated Raman scattering or parametric oscillation of light at excitation by radiation of neodymium-containing lasers with wave length of 1,32 or 1,06 fim, respectively, as well as erbium- containing lasers at lamp pumping. The paper shows the prospects of laser usage as a part of pulse range finders.
In order to improve protective level of an informative channel against impulse noise a structural diagram of a synchronous detector with the controlled saturation has been drawn up. Optimization of parameters of the proposed structure has been investigated with the help of Simulink appendix of MATLAB. Results of the investigations make it possible to determine graphical relations, permitting to analyze an influence of the proposed structure parameters on the efficiency of its operation.
While investigating brightness characteristics of computer images obtained with the help of a digital camera in the conditions of low light and long time exposures (starting from 1/8... 1/4 sec) it is necessary to take into account and, at the possible opportunity, to exclude defects (graininess effect, spot dissemination of raised brightness). These defects are attributed to leakage currents and imperfection of DDD-structure of the chamber as they cause casual errors in the results of measurements. Removal of defects is reached by the calibration of digital cameras which is made with the help of special software products.
The paper considers the opportunities of some existing noise analyzing programs, methods of digital image processing with the help of such devices as Adobe Photoshop 6 and Thumber. Application of these devices improves an accuracy of mathematical processing of measurements.
TRANSPORT
The paper presents a system which provides an accumulation of kinetic energy of objects with translational and rotary motions in the case of loader hydropump braking (hydropump is connected with drive wheels through transmission). The hydropump injects a working liquid in the hydropneumatic accumulator with subsequent usage of water accumulated energy at starting acceleration.
Repair schedule of a number of technical products is prepared with due account of scope of available resources. At the same time it is possible to state problems pertaining to optimization of repair schedule in view of labour requirements of the repair works and reserves of operational materials or minimization of repair cost of a group of the products concerned. The developed models are based on application of well-known and evaluated methods directed to investigation of the operations. It makes it possible to exclude the necessity of significant expenses on substantiation of reliability and adequacy of the obtained results
The paper contains methods, calculated scheme and mathematical model for investigation of oscillations of a mobile machine with a pneumohydraulic suspension. Peculiar feature of the model resides in that it is necessary to take into account nature of internal dynamic processes occurring in damping and elastic elements of the suspension. A pneumohydraulic cylinder is considered as an independent dynamic subsystem integrated in multimass mechanical oscillatory model of an automobile. It enables to analyze the rate of influence of design parameters of suspension cylinders and properties of a working body on output parameters of automobile oscillations and also to select rational values of these parameters. The examples of calculation of a two-mass oscillatory system with a pneumohydraulic suspension cylinder are given in the paper.
POWER ENGINEERING
The paper reveals that it is rather profitable to apply gas-turbine units (GTU) with partial heat utilization of discharge gases as a compressor drive at gas-transferring stations. The paper considers the methodology of efficiency evaluation of heat utilization in steam-turbine utilization circuit with condensation steam turbine. It becomes clear that the highest efficiency of heat utilization can be reached on the basis of application of contac.t steam gas units (SGU) with condensation of water vapour and in the case of application of contact gas units in the utilization circuit.
Well-known and mid-19-th century widely spread methods of converting solid fuel being considered as ‘‘inconvenient” for usage into so called “universal” gaseous fuel have become non- profitable due to emergence oi cheap natural gas.
The paper contains a proposal to reanimate old and half-forgotten gasification methods on the basis of new and higher technological level, namely: continuous decomposition of high temperature water steam by solid fuel carbon with production of gas-generator gas consisting basically of two fuel gases - hydrogen and carbon monoxide (HCM).

The paper proposes a model which makes it possible to calculate optimum volume of material delivery to an enterprise. It provides minimum expenses which are intended for meeting annual material requirements.
The proposed model takes into account imputed expenditures which are non-eamed revenue of the enterprise due to freezing of circulating medium at storage reserve.
