ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
A conclusion has been made that non-linear dynamics problems can be reduced to solution of Duffing’s equation and the paper contains its theoretical investigations. An accurate solution with reference to a period and amplitudes of free continuous oscillations of a freely-supported beam on the basis of physically non-linear material. An example of calculation is given in the paper.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The paper introduces results concerning calculation of deformation force at plastic form-shaping of a flange in a round billet, having a preset extent of the transition zone from an internal pipe wall to a flange, that makes it possible to select a press of corresponding nominal force.
The paper contains results of theoretical, methodological and experimental investigations of wearing mechanism, strengthening methods and restoration of friction unit parts operating in contact with bio-chemically-active technogenic hydrogen-containing media. One of the most efficient methods for better wear-resistance of such parts is a formation of protective coatings on their working surfaces using self-fluxing alloys or composite materials on their basis while adding a copper component by gas-thermal spraying. It is established that an addition of a definite quantity of copper leads to formation of multi-component coating of three-layer structure having biocide properties that retard biochemical destruction of a surface coating owing to formed servo-like film that lowers a hydrogen penetration.
Laser thermal treatment of Ni–Cr–В–Si coatings favours a formation of ultra-disperse states of fused layers. Fusion modes determine a crystallization mechanism and in the interval of q = = 10–100 kVt/sm2 and V = 1–3 mm/sec they permit to obtain various types of a coating micro- structure, that is from a dendrite coating to a pure eutectic one.
The dependences between displacement of threads of different reinforcing material families and stresses taking place due to these deformations are found for composite materials that represent a structure of mutually perpendicular resin-impregnated thread families.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
There is a substantiation of necessity to elaborate working verifying schemes ensuring unconditional verifying process of measuring tools in the prescribed number and in strictly stipulated terms. The paper contains an algorithm for elaboration of working verifying schemes developed on the basis of Multi-criterion principle that provides for an account of metrological, structural, organizational and technical and economic criteria at stage of calculation.
The paper cites a capacitance calculation of multi-sectional reflection symmetric superimposed instrument capacitor filled with anisotropic layer medium. Integral equations for capacitor electrodes and algorithm for their numerical solution are given in the paper. The paper contains checking an adequacy of the model to real structures.
TRANSPORT
A new methodology for diagnostics of brake block wear has been developed in the paper. Physical process of friction work usage as an integral index is taken as a main principle of the methodology. Calculation of economic efficiency of the given methodology has been made in the paper.
Purpose of the paper – is to create a measuring complex, develop a methodology and carry out experimental investigations of curvilinear movement of the Belarus 1802 crawler tractor.
The measuring complex and methodology for determination of kinematics and forced parameters of crawler tractor turning ability have been developed. Experimental investigations of curvilinear tractor movement have been carried out and they have shown that an increase in its movement speed leads to a decrease in its actual angular speed. It is explained by an increase in a radius of tractor’s turning. While increasing a speed difference of crawler a torque of a running track is increasing and a torque of a lagging track is decreasing and it even takes a negative value. Having a towed load of 20 kH a lagging track thrust force is also decreasing but it does not pass in the are of negative values, in other words, both tracks move in a traction mode. A minimal radius of tractor turning is 1.42 m. Relative minimal kinematics radius of turning is 0.89 m.
The created measuring complex and developed methodology for investigations are transferred to Separate Design Bureau of the Republic Unitary Enterprise «Minsk Tractor Plant» and they are used for experimental investigations of crawler tractors.
POWER ENGINEERING
A design of low pressure turbine has been developed and it is covered by an invention patent and a useful model patent. Testing of the hydraulic turbine model has been carried out when it was installed on a vertical shaft. The efficiency was equal to 76–78 % that exceeds efficiency of the known low pressure blade turbines.

NATURAL AND ACCURATE SCIENCES
The paper presents results of investigations and modeling of adsorption–sensory interactions of carbon nano-material with dangerous gases and explosives. The design of nano-sensor molecular sieves is described. New directions in the field of the molecular sieve application are considered in the paper.
On the basis of experimental data pertaining to the effect of pulse electric and magnetic fields in the form of a semi-sinusoid of a primary linear source linear dependences of maximum magnetic field strength of a secondary source are ascertained on the surface of electric conducting materials according to their thickness. In the case of a maximum thickness these dependences pass to exponential ones (unity minus an exponential curve).
The dependences of the cited thickness on a pulse increase time and a reflection factor in the magnetic field on a material thickness have been determined in the paper. Notions are introduced and indices of the cited reflection factor and the cited thickness material are calculated in the paper.
HUMANITIES AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCIENCES
The paper considers one of directions concerning the solution of the problem for optimization of the managerial staff of entrepreneurial structures on the basis of a matrix method of flow theory. The set of tools of the method allows to reduce the number of managers, senior staff and employees of an organization by means of redistribution of time required for performing specific managerial and administrative functions within structural divisions. In this regard an important point is preservation of total duration of an administrative cycle.
The effect of the optimization is a reasonable reduction of organization’s funds on labor payment, which is of current importance for the present situation in the Republic of Belarus. Besides, the solution of the specified problem contributes to receiving indirect economic benefits.
The suggested method was examined by the author on a concrete example.
Influence of consumer goods' quality level on main technical and economic of enterprise’s activity is revealed and formalized. The model for optimization of goods’ properties with the purpose to achieve a maximal effect of an enterprise’s activity is offered and tested using real data.
The paper analyzes experimental works on formation of entrepreneurship style thinking.
SHORT MESSAGES
History of the «Material Science in Mechanical Engineering»” accounts for more than 40 years and by right it can be called a history of the Belarusian School of Metal Science Specialists. One of the founders of the Scientific School of Belarusian Metal Science Specialists has been Professor Leonid Grigorievich Voroshnine, double N.A. Minkevich prize-winner, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department. Under his leadership and as a result of his personal participation more than 100 new diffusion coatings of multi- and special purposes such as heat-resistant, wear-resistant, anti-corrosive, cavitation- resistant have been developed. The papers written by the Department scientists are well known and they are generally recognized as classical books on chemical and thermal treatment. Nowadays the Scientific School created by Professor Voroshnine L.G is successfully working.
