ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING
The paper analyzes an influence of physical non-linearity material account on vibrations of single beams with various support fixing. The authors also analyze power criteria for existing stable periodic vibrations and dependence of vibration period on initial power is determined in the paper. Accurate values of an amplitude and non-linear bending vibration period of beams have been also determined as a conservative system with due account of initial conditions. A number of examples are given that clearly illustrate the obtained solutions and show an influence rate of the mentioned effects on amplitude-frequency characteristics of non-linear systems.
The paper presents a brief review of new methods for repair of concrete and reinforced concrete products, structures etc. The review demonstrates that the usage of diffusion processes proceeding in the porous materials makes it possible to obtain positive effects while performing repair works.
The paper considers methodological statements concerning formation and development of cultural and tourist zones and complexes in the Chinese cities with precious historical and cultural heritage. Characteristic types of historical buildings in the cities of the Tsiansu province which are located in the south-eastern part ofChinaare given in the paper. The paper contains methods for renovation of historical development for tourist purpose and gives proposals pertaining to arrangement of tourist service objects there that permit to preserve individual image of historical regions.
METALLURGY. МЕТАL WORKING. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
An algorithm for forecasting parametric reliability of hydraulic steering booster during its operation has been developed in the paper. Regression models of output characteristics allowing to determine a reserve resource for two important devices of the steering booster, namely: flow regulator and control valve have been obtained in the paper. Stochastic characteristics of failure distribution that may be used while estimating parameters of steering booster reliability are given in the paper.
Problems concerning wear resistance improvement of «Belarus» tractor brake mechanism parts are considered in the paper. Properties of ВЧ-50-pig iron are investigated as a result of laser thermal hardening by various technological methods.
The paper presents investigation results concerning evaluation of influence of technological parameters of composite cathode spraying in a planar magnetron spraying system on structure formation and properties of layer nano-coatings (Si + C) of diamond micro-powders. a-SiC formation reaction was proceeding in the nano-layer (up to 20nm) presenting Si + C atom or cluster mixture of amorphous structure being treated with glow-discharge plasma. The layer coating has been obtained as a result of subsequent deposition on it the following elements: Si + C and Al of the given thickness (up to 300nm and 10nm, respectively) and also outside layer of pyrolytic carbon. The coating has ensured diamond protection against graphitation while heating and formation of carbide-silicon matrix. The composite of silicon diamond-carbide obtained on the basis of diamond powders with a layer coating with the help of a method that presupposes impregnation with liquid silicon and reaction sintering is characterized by improved properties.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING. INFORMATICS
While investigating a potential of two-mirror systems with spherical surfaces for searching new solutions it looks rather reasonable to delineate fields of schematic solutions classifying possible and well-known types of systems along motion of zero ray in the system. As a result of the investigations a classification has been made in three types of systems along motion of zero ray in an objective.
Calculation of aberration factors of 3-power has shown that systems of the first type have the highest potential because astigmatism and curvature are corrected there in a better way that specifies objective resolution. A disadvantage of these systems is a high central screening.
TRANSPORT
In order to ensure a rational usage of financial and material resources directed on winter automobile-road maintenance in theRepublicofBelarusan automatic control system of winter maintenance is under its development and introduction. The main purpose of the system is to obtain and use meteorological information on the state of a road network that allows to take necessary organizational and technological solutions ensuring safety and continuity of traffic during winter. This system also presupposes to ensure constant control over the state of roadway covering, expenditure of anti-glazed frost materials at all levels of management.

The paper presents an analysis of various method groups concerning forecasting accidents in road traffic. Applicability conditions of each method group are defined in the paper. The paper reflects advantages and disadvantages while using them under various conditions and in respect of various investigated objects. As a result of the analysis the most prospective method group has been revealed that subsequently permits to make an adequate forecast of accidents at conflicting objects, to optimize any decision on the organization of road traffic by criterion of minimization of accident losses at a stage of introduction or designing.
A classification of method groups concerning forecasting of accidents in road traffic is proposed in the paper. Prospective directions of method development have been defined with the purpose to improve an efficiency of road traffic and its safety.
POWER ENGINEERING
The paper considers and analyzes various methods for determination existing values of input phase currents in an adaptive microprocessor current protection of transmission lines. While using a method of a calculative experiment dependences for changing relative existing values of currents determined by various approaches. Every method has been studied from the point of its positive protection operation and stability in determination of short circuit mode, in other words from the point of realization of an adaptivity principle.
NATURAL AND ACCURATE SCIENCES
A calculation methodology of stress fields at a polysynthetic twin being far from crystal surface has been developed in the paper. The methodology is based on a dislocation manner in respect to modeling crystal twinning without thin twinning approach. As an example cleavage stresses at polysynthetic twin with twins being part of its composition and having rectilinear limits at uniform distribution of twinning dislocations on them have been calculated in the paper.
A formula for presenting solutions for a hybrid control system containing continuous and discrete parts has been developed in the paper. The paper shows that a problem pertaining to development of optimal programs is reduced to the linear programming problem which may be solved with the help of the known methods.
A variant of method for solution plane boundary problems of mathematical theory of plasticity with hardening in respect of areas containing singular boundary points is developed in the paper. Linearization of determining relationships is reached on the basis of expansion into series where the first nonlinear term is the main one. The problem is reduced to sequence of boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations with restrictions of special type.
HUMANITIES AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCIENCES
The financial position of electric power engineering branch in theRepublicofBelarushas been analyzed for 2006–2007 years. Performance of the industry has been analyzed on the basis of an availability factor of own circulating facilities that characterizes availability of own circulating facilities at an organization which are necessary for its financial stability. So the above-mentioned factor as of 01.01.2007 and 01.01.2008 has been equal to 0.04 and 0.05, respectively, however it is significantly lower in comparison with a normative value (0.3). It means that we have unsatisfactory value of the availability factor of own circulating facilities. The paper reveals main problems and difficulties concerning extinguishing consumers’ debt for gas which is formed as of 01.12.1996. In order to improve financial situation of power-supplying organizations it is expedient to consider writing-off of the gas debt with simultaneous writing-off of Republic consumers’ debt for electric power which is unreal for claiming.
The paper contains an analysis of peculiar features concerning a 1-st-year student adaptation to new conditions of life-activity on the basis of self-evaluation made by 212 persons. In order to obtain the data a methodology for diagnostics of social and psychological adaptation developed by K.Rodgers and R.Diamond has been applied with the purpose to study such integral indices as adaptivity, emotional comfort, friendly attitude, internality, tolerance and domination symptom.
The paper gives an analysis of economic results pertaining to organization of a system for fire-fighting protection of industrial enterprises in theRepublicofBelarus. Statistical data on operational conditions of technical means of fire-fighting protection, particularly, automatic systems for detection and extinguishing of fires, systems of internal fire-fighting water-supply. Requirements and provisions of normative and technical documents are thoroughly studied. Observance of these documents is to ensure the required level of fire safety. On the basis of the obtained results concerning economic analysis of efficiency optimization directions are defined for selection of technical means of fire-fighting protection at objects of industrial purpose.
An idea of a new method is that while breaking-down analysis sample in some sub-samples there is a probability that an actual value for general body will be inside the interval between the highest and lowest average meaning of sub-sample is much higher of the probability that the given value will be beyond the limits of the indicated interval. In this case a size of the interval appears to be less than analogous parameter while making calculation with the help of the Stewdent formula.
Thus, it is possible to reach high accuracy in results of marketing investigations while preserving analysis sample size or reducing the necessary size of analysis sample while preserving level of statistical mistake.
Nowadays measures for development of logistics and transport system are undertaken in theRepublicofBelarus. The main purpose of the system to be created is transportation and handling of cargoes which are shifted across customs frontiers of adjoining countries. An opinion has been justified that there is a necessity to logistize a process of customs clearance of cargoes. Main directions of logistic approach to customs regulation of foreign trade cargo flows have been defined as one of the components of cargo-transport system.
ENGINEERING EDUCATION
The paper considers positive aspects concerning elements of traditional practice of lecturing on usage of geodesy devices to provide a specified geometrical accuracy of the building process. The necessity of provision of higher and vocational educational institutions of building specialization with up-do-date building devices has been shown in the paper. Thus, the described necessity is the basis for implementation of the appropriate innovations in methods of lecturing the given discipline.
