Abstract

The paper presents algorithms for calculation of crack length and its width opening under cyclic loading on the concrete of the given composition.

A critic ratio of stress intensity and rate of concrete vibro-creeping are used for calculations in addition to conventional strength and deformation characteristics. The analysis shows that rather good correspondence is observed between experimental data and calculative results.

Course books and industrial manuals do not cite exact formulae for calculation of cross-section area of the extended earthwork structures for slope site sections. The paper considers a variant of such calculations which are necessary for better certainty in determination of earth scope and accurateness in geodetic laying-out works while constructing linearly extended earthwork structures on the sloped ground surface.

Abstract

Results of the investigations pertaining to study of influence of technological ionic processing process parameters on changes in an initial roughness of samples made of D16Т alloy are provided in the paper.

The paper shows that bombardment by high-energy Ti+-ions is effective at processing a surface with a high initial roughness and is not suitable for processing surfaces after grinding and polishing. It is necessary to use low-energy ions of inert gases for processing a surface with a low initial roughness

Abstract

Carbon distribution in the deformed sample is experimentally investigated in the paper. The paper notes that the processes of heat generation and carbon distribution during steel deformation are interrelated. Carbon content in steel is higher in the areas with significant deformation values. These areas are characterized by higher deformation heating. Experimental data are given in the paper.

Abstract

An investigation pertaining to contact interaction process of a target end face of the ultrasonic converter installed on pendulum suspension with a rigid basis is presented in the paper. The paper shows that substitution of traditionally applied precision rolling guides by a pendulum suspension of the ultrasonic converter allows significantly to simplify a process equipment design. A calculative model for contact interaction of an end face of the ultrasonic converter installed on a pendulum suspension  with a rigid basis and scheme of a mathematical  pendulum  that  corresponds are proposed in the paper and they permit to investigate an influence of pendulum suspension parameters and its loading conditions on the operational mode of an acoustic oscillatory system. The paper contains analytical dependences that make it possible to calculate time and power parameters in contact interaction of a target end face of the ultrasonic converter installed on a pendulum suspension with a rigid basis. These dependences take into account an amplitude of ultrasonic oscillations, converter weight, pendulum length and an angle of its deviation. The paper reveals that the application of the pendulum suspension of the ultrasonic converter allows to ensure a vibrating impact (operational) mode of interaction of a converter target end face with a rigid basis surface. Design variants of the pendulum suspension of the ultrasonic converter while using various elastic elements are proposed and analyzed in the paper and with due account of concrete processing conditions these variants allow to provide the required value of own oscillation frequency of an acoustic system and also to create necessary value of a preliminary tightness in it.

Abstract

The paper considers various methods for determination of parameters included in an equation of laser probing. The parameters have been analyzed in the paper. An algorithm has been developed for determination of cloud bottom boundary height in accordance with the data obtained from a lidar which makes probing with short laser pulses from three atmosphere layers.

The paper considers a problem on synthesis of lateral movement control algorithms in a pilotless flying machine which is made on the basis of a modal control method providing a required root arrangement of a characteristic closed control system polynom. Results of the modeling at stabilization of a lateral pilotless flying machine co-ordinate are presented in the paper.

Abstract

The paper considers requirements to formalization of operator-drivers’ behaviour simulation in the structure of channels that control direction and speed of a vehicle. Three models in accordance with three levels of drivers’ motivation perception of a traffic situation are presented in a structured fashion. Operator-drivers’ behaviour simulations are constructed in the class of local and boundary discrete servo-type systems. Simulation classification corresponds to objective vehicle control functions.

Abstract
Main process regularities of the air cleaning from ultra disperse aerosols under the influence of electric forces at various flow velocities are theoretically and experimentally investigated in the paper. The paper demonstrates the fact that the filtration efficiency of particles having size of more than 1 micron is higher due to an increase of an inertial mechanism of particle deposition on the front fibers and partially on their back side and in the case of electric force action – on their back side. The filtration efficiency of particles having size of less than 1 micron is higher due to an increase of filtration velocity when particles and fibers are electrically charged.

Abstract

The cost of the construction project is determined by the amount of the investments which are required for its realization. In order to ensure a project efficiency it is necessary to calculate a maximum level of investments increase and avoid its overrun. It is necessary to make in-time actions on factors which cause an increase in investments. The paper proposes a mechanism for controlling the cost of the construction project which allows to an investor to foresee the project requirements in additional investments, to organize economical expenditure of monetary resources, to control their target use and make timely decisions which reduce the cost of the project.

Abstract
The National Technical Committee on standardization “Quality Control” has proposed a mechanism for evaluation of quality management system efficiency while applying experts’ appraisal by points – ТК РБ 4.2-МР-16–2002 which has a number of disadvantages and which is complicated for being used at enterprises. A methodology for evaluation of quality management system efficiency has been developed on the basis of a qualimetric approach to the formation of an experts’ group, working out of estimation scales and their realization, ТК РБ 4.2-МР-16–2002 propositions. The methodology has been put to evaluation test at the enterprise which is dealing with manufacturing and repair of railway products and can be applied at mechanical engineering and other enterprises
