Abstract

The method for determining ultimate resistance to shift of soils reinforced with a solid geolattice is developed. The condition of strength, being analogous to Mohr – Coulomb theory and with account of new coefficient values of an internal friction and bonding a «soil – geolattice» composite is worked out. The influence of a geolattice on the strength of a reinforced layer is estimated by the coefficient of reinforcement.

Topography formation of 12ХН3А steel part surface is considered at needle milling. As a result of the executed researches mathematical models are developed when needle milling modes influence on the formation of the wide nomenclature of the parameters describing geometrical structure of the machined surface according to ISO-3274:1997 and ISO 4287:1998.

Abstract

Process of water-coal gasification is satisfactorily described by three thermal and chemical equations; using these equations composition of gasification product (water carbon monoxide gas) has been calculated in accordance with a temperature. Results of the calculations are presented in the form of charts.

Analysis of hydrodynamic resistance of gas and air paths of a recuperator assembled with the help of unified module elements M-I and M-II has been carried out. The paper shows the possibility to change path resistance within a wide range of values.

Abstract

Results of experimental investigations of structure-formation process of «diamond-carbide silicon» composite at low pressure which is obtained by liquid silicon impregnation of a porous blank made of diamond crystals with nano-coatings have made it possible to establish the following general rules of the process concerning a sintering reaction in the coating and composite material: vacuum magnetronic spraying of composite cathodes leads to formation of nano-coating which is made of silicon and hydrogen atoms or clusters, and their subsequent treatment with plasma of glow discharge is accompanied by formation of α-SiC at low temperatures in a hard phase; silicon impregnation at 1500 °C with given pyrolytic carbon in the charge may result in β-SiC matrix formation.

The formed «diamond-carbide silicon» composite material contains a frame structure of diamond crystals with nano-coating impregnated by silicon carbide and is characterized by high physical and mechanical properties.

Process of magnetic-electric grinding (MEG) of the gas-termal sprayed coatings is considered. Experimental MEG plant has been developed. Influence of electro-physical MEG parameters on a surface roughness and process productivity has been established.

The program mock-up developed by authors is described. This mock-up allows to follow monitoring of color characteristics of vacuum plasma coatings. Influence of the used lighting source on formation of the specified colorimetric condensate parameters has been investigated.

Abstract

The paper describes a circuit of a plant for preliminary grinding of balls made of brittle non-metalic materials. Cubes are used as blanks for the balls. The peculiar design feature of the plant is an inclined location of an abrasive wheel and placement of a charging container having section-shape form in that part of the wheel where a vertical component of linear speed of its points is directed upward. The executed theoretical investigations have made it possible to determine a range of inclination angles of end surface of an abrasive wheel. This range ensures a blank circulation in the charging container. It has been established that the blanks being in contact with the abrasive wheel are slowly moving upward along its inclined end surface and then having reached the maximum top position they are rolling downward along the surface of a slope formed by the blanks. In the machining zone the blanks are making rotary motion and in this case the most intensive rotation is observed in the blanks that are located in the top part of the container. Speed of blank translational motion is small and due to this contact loadings affecting the balls in the grinding process are insignificant and machining process is carried without application of a separator. The paper presents the results of experimental investigations pertaining to grinding of balls made of mineral raw material.

The methodology for identification of vehicle noise sources allows timely and without application of an expensive equipment to solve complicated scientific and technical problems connected with updating vehicles according to noise level created by them and efficient certification of manufactured products. Abstract

Main indices pertaining to technical updating of adaptive micro-processor current protection of 6-35 kV have been obtained. The calculative experiment has made it possible to determine signal dependences in various protection circuits with double-phase and triple-phase short circuits at the beginning of the protected line. Evaluation of time operation of all stages and protection sensitivity has been carried out.

Abstract

Main directions of further modernization of УМПФ-type milling peat machines have been determined on the basis of complex analysis pertaining to application of these machines. Their modernization presupposes successful solution of national economy problem which is to increase a portion of local kinds of fuel in the power engineering balance of the Republic. One of the prospective peat machine diagram proposes to use a wheel propeller with a narrow back axle and front placement of removing and transporting element tool in relation to a bunker while applying a flight conveyer. Using this machine it is possible to obtain an improvement in indices of reliable operation of units, reduction in specific amount of metal per structure, reduction in power consumption in accomplishment of technological operation, higher productivity. First two directions of modernization provide for partial changes in some components of the machine and these tasks are successfully solved at repair and maintenance shops of peat enterprises. The third direction, that is development of milling peat machine of new generation, requires involvement of design organizations and machine-building plants.

Abstract

The paper considers main indices of fuel utilization efficiency in energy systems. The basic emphasis is made on investigations of the existing fuel utilization efficiency indices in the Belarusian energy system. The investigation is resulted in a coefficient of useful fuel utilization, which allows to inter-relate the efficiency of electrical and heat energy generation with the Belenergo energy saving special-purpose index. The useful fuel utilization coefficient can be calculated both with and without taking into consideration the annual actual saving of conditional fuel in the Belenergo system that makes it possible to determine the influence of the Belenergo energy saving measures on the useful fuel utilization coefficient in the Belarusian energy system.
