Abstract

The paper contains results of experimental investigations reflecting the impact of technological and acoustic parameters on abrasive ability and resistance period of diamond-containing coating. Such  coating has been obtained on the disk surface as a result of its charging with a knurling tool under normal conditions and imparting ultrasonic oscillations to it.

Abstract
Nano-scale structures of constructional materials provide  unique possibilities for obtaining a new level of properties: high strength, hardness, wear-resistance at rather high plasticity. An increase in ceramics and inter-metallic compound plasticity gives wide prospects for their usage in constructions. Development of methods for obtaining  3D (massive) nano-crystal blanks with uniform structure along blank section, without pores, micro-cracks and other structure defects is an actual problem and its solution will make it possible to expand an application of constructional nano-materials.

Abstract

Organization of heat exchange in the evaporator of a loop heat pipe (LHP) by the principle of inverted menisci is connected with considerable non-uniformity of heat flow on an evaporating surface that reduces LHP operating characteristics. The paper considers a possible variant concerning  decrease of this non-uniformity which is not connected with the usage of an internal surface of powder capillary structure that starts playing a role at partial drainage of  a pore space. This variant presupposes creation of a system of vapor-outlet channels located inside of the capillary structure on some distance from the evaporator wall. The paper shows that such design of the LHP evaporator makes it possible to distribute heat flow on an evaporating surface much more uniformly and decrease a maximum heat flow density by several folds. Thus it is possible significantly to intensify a heat exchange process and increase a critical average heat flow and also reduce a temperature of an LHP evaporator body.

Abstract

The paper considers an influence of technical factors on jewelry design and provides an analysis of literature data that reveals that main investigations in this field are devoted to the following three problems, namely: problems pertaining to usage of up-to-date IT-technologies in design modeling; material science problems pertaining to influence of decorative and technological properties of the applied materials on esthetic quality of objects and also problems pertaining to manufacturing technology and decorative processing of jewelry.  An important role is played by systematic module approach to training of designers and specialists involved in designing and manufacturing of jewelry.

Abstract
The paper presents experimental results of mechanical high strength concrete (HSC) properties at high temperature. The obtained results specify an increasing of strength and destruction energy of samples at temperature from 20 °С to 300 °С. The positive influence of high temperature (up to 400 °C) on concrete mechanical properties with w/c ratio less than 0.3 has been proved in the paper. The paper has experimentally proved that usage of a mineralogical additive as «silica fume» in high strength concrete at high temperatures often leads to an explosive destruction of every third sample. Changes in fracture toughness, crack resistance, specific energy consumption on quasi-static destruction have been described in mathematic formula.

Abstract

The computer model for coordination of fuel spray characteristics with diesel combustion chamber parameters has been created in the paper.  The model allows to observe fuel sprays  develоpment in diesel cylinder at any moment of injection, to calculate characteristics of fuel sprays with due account of a shape and dimensions of a combustion chamber, timely to change fuel injection characteristics and supercharging parameters, shape and dimensions of a combustion chamber. Moreover the computer model permits to determine parameters of holes in an injector nozzle that provides the required fuel sprays characteristics at the stage of designing a diesel engine. Combustion chamber parameters for 4ЧН11/12.5 diesel engine have been determined in the paper.

The paper considers a new approach for better technical and economic indices of two-stroke engines due to improvement of admission by means of selecting optimal design parameters of crank mechanism. The paper provides parameters of electro-magnetic radio-frequency range emissions formed by cell communication systems. It has been determined that actual values of electro-magnetic emission parameters in the buildings with a transmitting antenna do not exceed a maximum permissible limit. Displacements and deformations of a wedge-shaped twin have been calculated with the help of mesoscopic dislocational model. It has been shown that deformations are localized at twin boundaries and twin top and also at some limited areas which are rather far from the twin.

Abstract

Methodology for economic evaluation of the effective use of the Belarusian brown coal deposits has been developed on the basis of systematic analysis of scientific, statistical and economic data. The obtained methodology allows to perform multi-variant optimization calculations under various uncertainty level without reduction to the same energy effect that is especially important while developing economic forecasts and programs for the long term perspective. Using this methodology evaluation of various directions pertaining to usage of the Belarusian brown coal has been done and recommendations on their possible application have been given in the paper.
