Computer Analysis for Studying Influence of Injector Cooling on Formation of Longitudinal Stresses in Crystallizing Steel Ingot

Abstract

The paper contains description of the results concerning computer stress calculations in respect of a crystallizing steel (20ХЮА) ingot having 300x400 mm dimensions under round- and flat-torch injector cooling. Taking an industrial continuous casting machine as an example a comparative analysis of changes in stresses along the whole ingot length for various types of injector cooling has been carried out.
